Join us for "The Yoga of Love," a unique exploration of love, devotion, and self-awareness through the enlightening practices of Bhakti Yoga and Kirtan. This event is designed to awaken the heart and deepen your spiritual connection.
The Yoga of Love offers an introduction to the immersive experience of Bhakti Yoga, the path of devotion, where every action and thought is an expression of love towards the divine. Dive deep into the philosophy and practices that foster a loving relationship with oneself and the universe. Explore profound questions that have puzzled seekers for centuries: Is consciousness in the soul or mind? And what is the inherent nature of consciousness and how can we practice that?
The Exploration will include a demonstration of the soul-stirring rhythms of Kirtan, an ancient form of devotional chanting. These powerful call-and-response chants are designed to entertain and elevate the spirit, opening the heart and encouraging a meditative and blissful state.
This exploration is by Asha (aka Anuradha dasi), who was born and raised in the Gaudiya Bhakti Yoga tradition in a kirtan-focused family. As a small girl, she gravitated towards percussion, specifically of the mridanga, a clay drum hailing from West Bengal, India, which is used in traditional Gaudiya kirtan. When Anuradha is not performing her kirtan seva, she works as a doctor of physical therapy, sharing with her patients and clients about holistic health and wellness, and lifestyle medicine.
