From time immemorial, people have sat in circles both for practical and ceremonial reasons. The shape forms a boundary for concentrated power, wherein a fire might be built, a dance might be staged, or a ceremony performed.
On Saturday, September 19th, we’ll gather to experience a Sacred Circle Gathering, led by Jayne Warrilow, bestselling author and founder of Sacred Changemakers.
Sacred Circle Gatherings, she says, “are an opportunity to expand perspectives and to help people realize what it is that matters most to them at this time. There a means of inviting the sacred into our lives in a more intentional way.”
Warrilow has been facilitating Sacred Circle Gatherings for more than 30 years.
“I first encountered this sacred practice when on a spiritual retreat in England in my early twenties, as part of the ancient Celtic tradition. I began to use it in my own spiritual practice, to ground myself, help me connect to what matters most, and to help me make decisions about the direction of my life.
“Over the years I have practiced Scared Circle Gatherings at live events and late last year when bringing Sacred Changemakers to the world.” Sacred Changemakers is an organization with the mission of bringing together people who want to make a meaningful difference in our world, and equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to respond to their own sacred calling, and make a greater impact in the world.
“During the Sacred Circle Gathering, we’ll consider multiple perspectives aligned with seven different dimensions of the Sacred Circle and ask ourselves two questions in each direction. Each direction stands for a different aspect of what it means to be human and in full relationship with life,” Warrilow said.
“I work on multiple frequencies when leading the Sacred Circle Gathering. When we get to the center of the circle, I usually share the Sacred Invitation from my guides to inspire us into action with whatever has emerged within the circle and they may share other things too.”
“During our time together, I’ll help you to take stock of where you find yourself, clarify what it is that wants to emerge through you, and explore what might be your sacred calling. It’s about awakening, reclaiming, remembering, feeling, knowing and activating your energy."
