Reimagining Community: New Models for a Time of Transition

March 21, 2026

April 18 11am ET// 5PM CET

In an age of growing disconnection, many of us feel a deep yearning for something more—for authentic connection, shared purpose, and a stronger sense of belonging. If you feel this call, you are not alone. It raises a question many of us are asking: How can we come together in new and meaningful ways?

Join us for a Sacred Inclusion Network exploration facilitated by Aly Khan. His own journey grappling with this question led him from a career in finance to co-founding Brave Earth, a regenerative community in Costa Rica. This is not a presentation of answers, but an invitation to a conversation. Aly will share his personal story, including both the challenges and the learnings, as a starting point for a collective exploration of what community means today.

This gathering is for anyone curious about different ways of living and relating. It is a space to honestly explore the complexities and possibilities of community, whether that looks like a rural eco-village, an urban co-living project, or simply a deeper network of neighborhood connection. We will approach the topic not with a roadmap, but with open curiosity.

In this session, we will explore together:

  • The Communal Pull: Why does the idea of intentional community resonate so deeply at this moment? What are the questions and needs driving this interest?
  • The Inner Shift: What does the journey from an individualistic mindset to a more collaborative one feel like? We will share an honest look at the inner work and the tensions involved.
  • Models and Questions: We will consider various forms of modern community, looking not for perfect models but for the underlying principles and persistent questions they raise.
  • Starting the Journey: Where might one begin? We will discuss potential first steps and gentle experiments for anyone wanting to explore a more community-oriented life.

This exploration is a space for questions, not answers; for connection, not conclusions. The hope is that by coming together to explore these important questions, we will each leave with a renewed sense of curiosity and perhaps a few new questions to guide our own unique paths. Come and be part of the conversation.

About the Facilitator::

After over a decade in finance, Aly Khan became disillusioned with the neoliberal capitalist system and reprioritized his life energy toward a radical solidarity with Gaia. This shift led him to co-found Brave Earth, a Center for Applied Cultural Transition in the Costa Rican rainforest.

At Brave Earth, Aly Khan helps steward an integrative community, healing arts center, and regenerative farm. He applies his pragmatic skills to lead infrastructure and finance, while co-creating with a systems based framework on operations, programing and permaculture in order to make the center thrive

His approach is informed by over ten years of dedicated training in somatic and spiritual traditions, including Shipibo plant medicine, Vipassana and Authentic Relating. As a certified Ipsalu Tantra teacher and Senior Cobra Breath instructor, Aly Khan’s work is ultimately about helping people remember and embody their deepest connections: to self, to community, and to the living intelligence of the Earth.
