These days of COVID-19 and social unrest have stirred the greatest public interest in dreaming in a quarter century. Bizarre dreams, scary nightmares, and visions of hopeful futures are all supercharged in this time of anxiety and vigilance.
How can we take advantage of the current outflowing of the creative dreaming mind? How can we remember more dreams and apply them to our lives, personal and collective?
Dream researcher Ryan Hurd talks about pandemic dreaming, remembering dreams, lucid dreaming, nightmares and how to make better use of dream states.
Hurd is author of several books on dreams and nightmares and editor of DreamStudies.org. He is currently serving as Director of Spiritual Development at Unitarian Society of Germantown in Philadelphia, PA, and is an adjunct lecturer at John F. Kennedy University. This event was conducted as part of the Sacred Inclusion Network's series of monthly online community explorations.
